CVAP & ICBC Counselling Services

Mental Health Support Covered by Funding Programs

If you’ve been impacted by a violent crime or a motor vehicle accident, you may qualify for free counselling through BC’s Crime Victim Assistance Program (CVAP) or ICBC. These programs are designed to support your emotional recovery — and as an approved provider for both, I can bill them directly so you can focus on healing.

Whether you’re processing trauma from a car accident or working through the emotional effects of a violent incident, I offer compassionate, trauma-informed care tailored to your unique needs. Using evidence-based approaches such as CBT, DBT, EMDR, and other integrative therapies, I help clients manage symptoms like anxiety, sleep disturbances, flashbacks, and emotional overwhelm. My aim is to create a supportive space where you can feel safe, heard, and empowered as you work toward emotional recovery.

CVAP Counselling

Support for Victims of Crime

The Crime Victim Assistance Program helps individuals who have been affected by crime — whether directly, as a loved one, or as a witness. Counselling through CVAP can provide support for:

  • Emotional distress from assault, abuse, or violence
  • Anxiety, grief, or fear following traumatic experiences
  • Processing long-term psychological effects of crime

You can apply even if charges haven’t been laid. Once approved, you’ll receive a claim number that allows me to bill CVAP on your behalf.

Mental Health Recovery After a Car Accident

If you’re dealing with the emotional impact of a motor vehicle accident — such as anxiety, trauma symptoms, or stress — ICBC may cover counselling to support your recovery.

How to Get Started

To begin, you’ll need:

  • Your ICBC claim number
  • The date of the accident
  • Contact information for your adjuster, lawyer, or rehab provider (if applicable)

If the accident occurred
more than 12 weeks ago, a doctor’s referral may be required to access counselling coverage.
